Easter Morning

I quickly took these pics before church on Sunday. For those of you in our ward, this is why we were a few minutes late to church this morning. Joel's tie was off and shirt untucked before sacrament meeting was over. Oh well, at least I got a picture before it all fell apart. OH... and Nate asked me to put on the blog that he tied his own tie this morning! He was very proud of himself. And so was I! Happy Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, we went to see Bill and Hazel (Granny & Paw Paw, as we refer to them in the Taylor clan). It was Hazel's and Mandi's birthday. We had fun hanging out with cousins, playing games, eating way too much, and hunting for easter eggs!

Nate's new glasses

A couple of weeks ago, we were sitting in church and Nate was trying to turn his hymn book to the right page number. He was turning to the wrong page number. Jared was sitting next to him and asked him what hymn numbers were posted on the wall at the front of the chapel. That's when the optometrist realized that he needed to get his own son into his office for an eye exam. And sure enough, Nate was in desperate need of some specs. (In Jared's defense, he checked Nate's eyes in September and his vision was fine.) He really likes wearing them. He comments on how much better he can see things such as the leaves on the trees and the overhead in his classroom that the teacher uses on a regular basis. A lot of friends have told him that he now looks just like his dad.

Nate the Great is 9 years old!!!

I can't believe my sweet Nate is 9 years old! We did not have a big party this year, but it was a lot of fun to have Grandpa Dean around to celebrate with us! Nate is loving all of his new DS games, new roller blades, & more. We also have plans to take Nate and Bogue to a movie for a belated birthday present. Monsters vs. Aliens in 3-D is coming out this weekend and the boys have decided to wait for that one.

Tarheel Fans!!!

More Soccer.... I know. I know. Enough Soccer already!

Here is Nate with his new team. Nate is enjoying soccer more and more each season. His coach that he loved got an unexpected job transfer during the off season. So he is with a new coach and new teammates this season. But it has turned out to be a fun group. Nate has been thrilled that Grandpa Dean has been able to come to a couple of his games.

Joel's First Soccer Season

Joel has been so excited to play on a soccer team. Last fall season he was old enough to play, but I did not sign him up. All season he kept saying that it was not fair that he did not get to play. I have been dragging him around to Kelly and Nate's games for years. He is loving it. Here are some pictures from his game last week.
